BerliCon 2012

Neither the international debt crisis nor the delayed opening of Berlin's new airport can hinder the Berlicon. It was and it will be! This year is no exception. On the second weekend of October (Oct. 12 until Oct.14th, 2012) we welcome you to Berlin.

Berlicon: Diplomacy in a cozy atmosphere, Diplomacy in an amazing city and also this year "Diplomacy meets Berlin". Besides the German championship which will take place at this year's Berlicon, we have have a small Get-to-know-Berlin program organized for you on Saturday evening.

The main attraction, however remains the tournament. We play three standard rounds, two rounds on Saturday and one on Sunday morning. For our scoring system we use C-Diplo. If there is enough interest and participants we have planned an introduction for Diplomacy beginners and newbies in Face to Face on Friday evening. In this case it's not so much about success or failure, but more about familiarizing oneself with the rules and options of the game, as well as getting used to the game's time management. Howling werwolves, remote-controllable robots, and various other games are also on the program.

For those of you less interested in power-gaming and would also like to get to know the city, there is the option of participating in a city tour on Saturday afternoon, instead of playing the second round. Here you are spoiled for choice. You can either take a city tour and see the famous, typical central Berlin sights, or perhaps you'd rather visit Berlin's Jewish Museum? Our tour guide looks forward to showing you all that Berlin has to offer, on and off the beaten track. There's only one problem though. You can't do everything at once.

The price of this exclusive weekend is only 75 Euro. Negotiating, cheating, eating, visiting, and sleeping (if you really want to) are all included!
